Flooding 2

Well everything is a lot better!We are going to get new flooring for our basement and for our basement steps.I am so tired from all the work we have done over the weekend and I pray that when Friday rolls around and it rains again that our basement won't flood!

Flooding

Well about seven O clock Saturday morning I hear my dad yell for my mom from the basement so I went downstairs and it had flooded half an inch so we got plastic cups and two five gallon buckets and a plastic container and started filling up the buckets then going outside and dumping them.Then after about an hour of doing that the water was still the same height and my dad came back with a sub pump from Lowes and we thought all of the water would be out within a half hour.So me and my brothers went up stairs then after about O say thirty minutes our dad calls for my brother and that's when we started taking shifts.After hours of work it kept going down then back up so we discovered were the leak was coming from filled it then realized there was more and we could not fill them all cause they were outta reach.So my dad decides wants to buy wet dry vacuums and my mom says ok so he went back to Lowes to get it.Then about half an hour later he comes back without the vacuums and he told us the roads from here to Dickson are closed....(This was the beginning of a LONG night)So we worked and worked the water going on and off like the rain and my mom and dad at about one O clock decided me and Darin could go to bed so we did to get up at six thirty to start again.We found out my dad got an hour and a half of sleep and my mom three.So we kept going and going and going...Tired,hungry,cold,soaked and ready for it to be over we had to keep going.So about nine my dad leaves for Lowes to get the vacuums and which he does and we have been taking shifts on and off all day sucking up the water dumping it in a cooler while the sub pump pumps it from the cooler down the hill.We will probably have to stay up all night tonight to try and get all the water outta there,fix the leaks,get the water outta the carpet and salvage what we can....My dad will probably take off work tomorrow if he can to try to fix what ever we don't do tonight.....

The past week

This past week has been good we just finished our made series at ConnectSM with small groups and a bonfire...For me personally the past week has been getting rid of the old and in with the new.For instance I have been changing the music I have been listening to to all christian and I have been examining what I have been watching and going to cut out all R rated movies and some PG-13.Looking back at my life I have noticed one thing that God has blessed me with and that is favor.No matter where I go or what I do I seem to have favor an example would be sports.When I went into football last year I did not even no how to throw a football,read a playbook,tackle or even the rules of football.All I knew how to do was run :D and as I started playing I was third string running back but yet God gave me so much favor with the coaches by the end of the year I had played two games where I did not come off the field cause I was in play so much and I ended up being the fastest player on the team and all I can say about all of it is that it was God and only Him!

The past couple months

Well I have not posted on here in a long time!I have been some what busy but for the most part I forgot about this blog :D but in the past couple months a lot has happened!Lets start with from were I left off..Well football may not be out of the picture after all but I still would rather take up running.The half marathon is out of the picture though me and my brother bought the shoes for it in December and was about to start training but we figured that it was just to much money and we would rather run in something like a 5k to start out with...Also we have a new youth pastor which I love!There has been lots of changes in our youth but all for the better!I love everything there doing and I hope and pray our youth grows!Since our old youth pastor left there was tons of kids that left and it really took a toll on everybody that was still there but when Nick and Jill came (our youth pastor and his wife) everything seem to be brighter.They repainted the youth added decorations and actually more new kids came then people who had left and the atmosphere is so much better and more comfortable.I am going to look into it but I might join cross country and try getting in the half marathon next year hopefully I can get a group together to run with me and maybe even get a sponsor to try to raise money for a group called STL (speed the light).I am going to start posting every Monday what my week has been like......
